An independent consultant can provide you with the tailored and customized service that is often not available in most schools. I can work with your needs, your expectations and your aspirations to create a university search process that works for you and your expectations.

We will arrange meeting times that are convenient for you and your supporters. After some initial conversations we will work on a plan that meets you where you are on this journey. Our time can be used on crafting essays or answering prompts, filling out application forms or simply walking through the application process.

In university applications, similar to scholarship applications, no one can guarantee specific results. An ethical educational consultant will not make admissions guarantees and I would discourage you from working with anyone who promises admission to a particular school. What I am proud to assure you of, is that after working with me, you will be better equipped with information, advice and knowledge that will make you a more competitive and prepared applicant.

The unique benefit of working with an independent counsellor is that there are no two identical plans. Depending on where you are in your journey, including many factors, such as deadlines and your desired outcomes, we will work together to identify areas that require focused attention.

One of the first things that I remind my students is that this is THEIR journey. It is not a search process for their parents, their classmates or their friends. I advise my students that they may have many supporters and well-wishers, but that they themselves are in the fortunate position to select where they want to go for their post-secondary education. If a student doesn't know what they want, or more importantly what they don't want, they will find themselves working on applications for schools they are not interested in attending. I'm here to help students clarify their goals and dreams, and to assist them in determining which pathways will help them reach that goal.
